Sharismar Rodriguez is a Caribbean in New York. She graduated from Parsons School of Design and has been part of the Children's Publishing industry for over a decade with numerous award-winning and noteworthy titles. She’s had the honor to be a guest faculty at SCBWI events and most recently was a Juror for the The Dilys Evans Founders’ Award at the 2020 Society of Illustrators Original Art Show.

She's currently a Senior Art Director at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group where she designs and art directs creative picture books and graphic novels with her team for Roaring Brook Press, FSG Books for Young Readers, Feiwel & Friends, & Henry Holt BYR imprints. Previously, an Art Director at HMH Books for Young Readers, Clarion Books, & Versify and before that, an Associate Art Director at Scholastic.

Some of her work includes New York Times bestseller Greenglass House by Kate Milford, illustrated by Jaime Zollars Bridget Heos’s best-selling Mustache Baby series, illustrated by Joy Ang Maybe Something Beautiful, an ALA Notable Children's Book recipient, by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell, illustrated by Rafael Lopez.

Most recently she's worked on Derek Desierto's author debut Oddbird and actor Channing Tatum's debut picture book The One and Only Sparkella, among many others.
